Cancellation Policy

Booking information

Please note that we can only take a booking if it is made at least two days in advance (to prepare everything and get the cabin ready). Bookings who where made on the same day or one day before check-in can not be accepted and will be canceled. Usually booking on such a short notice isn’t possible anyway on the bookings system but it’s possible that we forget to block a day in case there is not the two days in between.

The minimum stay is two nights, and the maximum stay 5 nights.

Check-in anytime after 15:00. You get your PIN Code via Email for the door opening latest one day before your arrival via email. The code is valid until check-out time at 11:00 next day. After 11:00 it’s not possible anymore to open the door. There is no late check-out possible as we’re always fully booked and someone is coming to clean the house right after 11:00.

Please note that it is a non-serviced area.

There is no breakfast provided in the price. Included in the price is VAT 11%, the tourism tax, free wifi, coffee and tea as much as you want, 2 towels per person and a fully equipped kitchen and final cleaning of the house and pool and laundry service.

The total amount of booking cost is due right at booking process.

Guests are not permitted to smoke in the Lodges or on the terraces.

In case of heavy snowfall we can’t guarantee that the roof will be free of snow. We do our very best to remove the snow from the roof if weather conditions are with us :).

The Lodge is suitable for a maximum of 2 persons.

Panorama Glass Lodge ehf. is not responsible for the loss or damage of any property left in the Lodges.

If you cause any damage to the property/lodge we will put you into account of this right after your stay. If you damage something from the kitchen or any dishes, please replace them by yourself (there is only IKEA and Rumfatalagerinn in Iceland to buy stuff like this) and you won’t get charged for it.

Cancellation policy

You can cancel your reservation until 30 days in advance free of charge (minus a 25€ processing fee that always has to be paid when canceling or changing a booking).
If you cancel from 29 until 14 days in advance, we charge a fee of 25% from the total booking price. If you cancel 13 until 7 days in advance we charge 50% from the total booking price. For less than 7 days in advance no refund will be given back.

Changing your booking less than 30 days before your check-in date is not possible without getting charged the fee between 25 and 100%.

Refund will always given back exactly the way you paid it. No other transfer to other accounts or credit cards is allowed for security reasons.

We do not take any responsibilitiy if the hot pool can not be used due to force majeure like heavy storms or volcanic eruptions etc, therefore it’s not possible to claim a refund for not being able to use it.

Panorama Glass Lodge ehf. reserves the right to cancel bookings if there are some unforseenable conditions like dangerous storms or closed roads to the Lodge, heavy snow or technical issues etc wo makes it impossible to stay at the Lodge. You will get your full refund for sure in this case with no processing fee.


Special COVID cancellation policy:

if you need to cancel your booking due to COVID issue (no flight or still in lockdown) we only charge 25% of the total amount, no matter when you cancel, even if it is 2 days before arrival.
